    Back-to-Basic Seminars

Anyone familiar with the "Back-to-Basic" Seminars?

I've been on their website, but would like to hear from someone who has
been to one of them, and how they compare. Could not confirm that their
    CPE is certified either.

    Interested

Interested in attending one. Out of ALL the people that frequent this message board, if no one can tell anything about them, that's not a good sign.

They are reasonably large, service at least five states and dozens of towns. I think in the formative stages, they build their coverage around wherever their instructors are...maybe..

I'd say give them a shot...

If you enjoy live seminars. I've never been to their seminars, but know the owner Tom Zoeller. From my experiences with him, they seem like a reputable company. He and his partner recently purchased Back to Basics within the past couple years from someone who had been doing it awhile. I'm quite certain their courses are NASBA approved and would qualify for your CPE credits.

Also, fyi we have a partnership with them. Similar to our society partnerships, they encourage members to order our products using their discount code 544.

P.S. - TMI has affordable self study CPE courses: http://thetaxbook.com/tr_tax_law.asp - should you be interested.

Thanks for the information Jacob. I enjoy live seminars where I can leave the house for a couple days. The change in scenery is like a tonic...

Yes TMI does have self-study CPE courses - I've had one in the past. I would highly recommend this as an alternative for people who would prefer to avoid travel expense, avoid designated times, etc. TMI CPE courses can be done on one's own schedule, are quite informative, thorough, and fully accredited.

Jacob, after putting it off for a year, I recently attended one of theirs in Eau Claire, WI.

Tom Zoeller is a dynamic, well-researched leader for seminars of this type. Their seminar is as good as any live seminars I've attended. Would highly recommend.

Also, their support and promotion for The Tax Book was very strong. A good partner for you.
