    Client is partnership owns only rental property. Where do you put accounting fees, & state taxes paid. Does it matter where I put these expenses ----
    first page of 1065 or 8225 (Rental schedule)?

    It matters

    Everything matters. But aside from that - yes use the rental form. It will then automatically flow to passive income and you won't have any issues with SE tax.

      Form 8225

      Put the expenses on Form 8225. After hearing the suggestion from others, I create a separate property for general expenses, then prorate the expense total to split it among the various properties.
