Does anyone have an answer as to how to cut/paste or export a form (from ATX) so that it can be emailed? Tried cut & paste but that did not work -- not sure I did it correctly anyway. Looks like that is only just for data in any event, not the entire form. Exporting Forms instructions only say "as a Microsoft Excel worksheet," which is not what I want to do. Can print and scan, I guess. Any other way? Client wants copy of extension Form 4868.

Go to Print. Select "print to pdf" at the top of the box instead of "printer". Save the file to your desktop, them attatch it to the e-mail. This always works for me. -

click "Help Index"
click "Printing"
click "Creating PDF Files"
There you will see the description. Reading that description helped me to attach forms and send it to clients.

A bit more
In some software you can "save return as PDF" or something similar.
You may also be able to "print preview" and essentially be viewing a PDF file, which can be saved/sent with a single mouse click.
Same destination, different routes.
**Be sure your Adobe software is current!!!**
For a specific form and/or worksheet, you should be able to save as PDF, call the file whatever you wish ("Aug25SchA"), and then zing it along.
One little caveat: Be careful about sending sensitive info, even via PDF, as an unsecured email attachment. If you are just "swapping info" with the client, consider masking the SSNs et al.

Most of the tax software out there have a print-to-pdf option but if you are working with something that doesn't, there are free software options available. PrimoPDF is a nice free piece for this and can me downloaded legally at download.com. Anything you print can be turned into a pdf file quickly and easily for saving electronically.Comment
