    Insolvency Benefit Eliminated For 1099C?

    A new client came to me and said he heard the Insolvency benefit reported on Form 982 was going to be eliminated in November this year.
    Anyone heard anything on this issue? The client is currently trying to dispose of his property through a short sale. Thanks for any feed back.

      A lot of things being kicked around right now within the outerbelt but this is not one of them,

          I do not

          think so. They do not want to increase the collections division.
