    Energy Bill

Do we have actual facts as to what will impact a typical taxpayer with the new energy bill? Currently I've seen different versions for Senate and House from $300 to $2000 in tax credits. Thanks for any feedback.

    Typical Taxpayer...

...will probably be left behind. Bjourn, I have to be honest that I don't really know about the huge tax breaks purportedly coming down from this massive bill, but it is a dead-eye ringer that most of it will go to the big oil companies, and the drilling/exploration entities that serve them.

I think the best anyone else could hope for is a credit for buying a hybrid vehicle, gasohol vehicle, or some other lunar vehicle. 25 years ago, they had a "residential energy credit" for insulating your home. It was hilarious watching your local electric and gas utilities pretending they wanted us to conserve power and heat.

How's that for an answer that doesn't really answer your question? I seem to be good at that...Ron J.

Check our updates later this evening. I am currently working on a summary of tax provisions contained in the bill.

You'll have to wait until Monday. I can't finish tonight. Sorry.
