    Teacher's W-2 deductions

Here in Michigan we have a couple of common deductions on public schools' W-2's that I'm uncertain about. Each can be in the $2000-3000 range and show in Box 14 as MIP and TDP. They aren't union dues and seem to be required.

    Deductible in any way?

Eligable for the Retirement Saver's credit?

Box 14 info is USUALLY included in box 1 and it is for information only. Some examples are union dues, stock options, charitable contributions etc.The info is not elegible for Saver's credit. That type of info would be in box 12.
Everybody should pay his income tax with a smile. I tried it, but they wanted cash

      Mip

MIP is the contribution to the pension plan.
I would put a favorite quote in here, but it would get me banned from the board.
