Boys... We're no in competition
Our discussions are poised at helping each other and NOT beating each other over the head with a 2 pocket binder until the first sign of blood - or exhaustion..... I'm betting on the later...
Hey -- Some like Ford, some like Chevy, many can't argue with Honda but the Hyundai's are coming up fast too.... Then we have the Yugo's. They came, they went. Right? Can we ever forget the all inspiring Pinto!! Mustang!! Camaro!!! and of course -- Corvette!!
There's no difference here... Some have the staying power. The original TaxExact apparently did not. That does not mean the new version has the same destiny. Where would be be today if Henry Ford didn't automate the process?? Change boys and girls. Change.. That's why we're NOT using pencils and paper any more. And after 20 years of promises - I am getting near the paperless office.
TRX has been around for a number of years so it appears they have more happy than not! There are a number of people on the board who use the program. Apparently if we pay less than $1,000 for our software we're not serious about our profession. Umm.. Where is the logic in that? If 1 + 1 = 2 and I can pay $330 for the answer or $1000.00 for the answer then I'm not sure who's math is better......Some have many more features that not all people need.. That's fine too! Some people get the sunroof - some don't. Premium Stereo package. Some still listen to AM. -- That's why we're the melting pot... We get to do whatever WE WANT!
Ultra Tax is a Fine Program. So is ProSeries, Drake, TaxAct Pro, TaxWorks, 1040 Works and who knows how many others I didn't name. They serve the purpose to the persons buying them.
So - let's stay on focus. IF you have used a product - please comment. IF you have NOT then please refrain unless you have a valid purposeful question. I'm not here to prove my tax program can beat up your tax program. I'm here to earn some money, learn something - and more importantly, not re-ivent the wheel! Aren't we all!??
Hope the weekend was great for all... Rather lazy for me after a 2nd hell week at work. No I'm going to finish up the work and go to bed so I can get up in 5 hours... .Argghhhhh!!
