Posting from IRS.gov:
Special Enrollment Examination
Selection of a vendor to develop and administer the 2006 Special Enrollment Examintion
Thomson Prometric has been selected to develop and administer the Internal Revenue Service's Special Enrollment Examination. It is the goal of the IRS to have Thomson Prometric develop and administer the next Special Enrollment Examination before the end of 2006. We will post additional information on this website as it becomes available, including when the exam will be administered.
Anyone heard whether carryover of scores will be allowed. I scored a 103 on section 3 last year (minimum passing score 105). Passed the other 3 sections with flying colors.
I'd hate to have to take the entire thing again this year. Also, note the second sentence which says " It is the goal of the IRS to have Thomson Prometric develop and administer the next Special Enrollment Examination before the end of 2006". Does that mean that there may not be an exam at all in 2006 or that the IRS may administer one last time? I hope it's the latter.
Oh well, I guess I should have gotten one more basis question right and I wouldn't have to worry about!
If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
