Has there been a change with viewing this Message Board?

I used to be able to view it without having to move the viewing area to the right.

It is like the whole viewing area has moved about 2½" to the right.

I haven't experienced this on any other message board that I visit.

I think they're doing some re-formatting. I've been seeing changes in various parts of the display for a few days now. I assumed it's a work in progress - maybe someone will enlighten us.

I have had the same problem. I hope they fix it. I thought it was something I had done.

I notice that when my screen resolution is set to 800 by 600 pixels, the message board is too far to the right. When I change the screen resolution to 1024 by 768 pixels, the message board is centered.

For years I had my screen resolution set to 800 by 600 pixels because in my old age I need images on the screen to be bigger. In recent years, a number of websites appear to no longer support the 800 by 600 pixel setting. For many websites and applications today, when you have it set to 800 by 600 pixels, you have to use the left to right scroll bar to view the entire width of the page. Even my tax program doesn’t display things as well in 800 by 600 pixels as it does when I change the setting to 1024 by 768 pixels.

To change your screen resolution, exit out of all programs including Internet Explorer, and right click on your desktop. Then choose properties. Then choose settings. In the lower left corner of the box is the screen resolution bar. Move the bar to the desired setting and then click on apply.

If you change your setting to 1024 by 768 pixels, you can always zoom in on an image while in Internet Explorer by changing the zoom level setting on the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Refreshing the Message Board

Sometimes we follow posts deep into a thread. My only problem is that we can no longer refresh the message board by clicking the "message board" at the top of the page.

Our selections are "Tax Book Series" "Tax Library Series" "Tax Authority Series" "Tax Review Series" "Fast Tax Facts Series" and "Client Tax Tools Series". Nowhere is there a "Message Board" selection where you can refresh your navigation. I have to go all the way out to the "home" page and re-enter.

The above selections are good for visitors to review TMI products, but those of us posting have usually already bought several of the products and are beyond the product links.

Refreshing Message Board

I am having the same issue - After reading a thread, I used to click on "Message Board "and it would refresh the page.

Now it seems we can no longer do that without going to Home Page or ????

This is very bad... For a couple of days now I have resisted going to the site. The fun has been taken out of communicating, too many steps to get back to the top.

When I click on "Main Forum / Tax Discussion?, I get the same result that I used to get when I clicked on "Message Board" at the top. So that feature still works, you just navigate from a different place (or maybe it was always that way and we were just using a different route).

Big Pixels - Little Pics

Like W.O., I thought it was somethin' I'd done by just messin' around and (as usual) messin' up the controls, etc., but, dadgummit, it looks like they did it on purpose.

Caveat: I'm not quittin' the board no matter how inconvenient they make it, but as a prehistoric professional prepper I protest (anything new of course)! Why (as Jiggers so accurately asked) fix something that isn't broken? What's the matter with "unfixed" pixes?

(Excuse me; I'll be right back -- I just hit "Preview" and have to stop and drag the screen to the left to see what I've just written).

As Bees mentioned, some of us older folks need bigger images (although the present ones seem "normal" rather than "bigger" to me and the new pixel size seems abnormally "little"), but is it necessary to point out: (1) this will not be improving (2) the remedy is not to shrink things further?

Cramming more words on the screen (like pill-bottle directions) may be the idea, but I can only read so much stuff anyway. And while I'm sure they have good reasons, so did the guy who put "Sleep Mode" on my new Canon calculator (don't know who I hate worse, him or the SOB who decided two unequal-sized prongs for plug-ins was a wonderful idea).

However, it is in a different area, (took a while and experimenting to find) and I have to click on once to get there, and then click on again, to get back to the message board. Otherwise I use my back arrow on Explorer, then have to click on the Discussion Forums to bring up/refresh new postings

I guess a minor inconvenience, but I am not a happy camper after having used the old method for so long. Just not as convenient - I guess us "old timers" just don't like changes

My screen for message board that I stay logged into always, does not post any new messages unless I go through the above routine

TMI - please incorporate some of the old with some of the new

After reading a thread, I go back to the top and clieck on Main Forum/Tax Discussion.
Works every time.

It looks like the viewing problem that we were having has been fixed to when it was un-broke!
