Balance Due

There is a balance due, nut they can't pay. So I am not going to send PA anything. The client is aware that an extension is not an extension to pay.

I already e-filed a federal extension for my client. He cannot pay any amount of the taxes that he owes. Am I reuired to mail the PA extension in if he is not making a payment. or do I not have to send anything to PA.

Is there a PA balance due? If not, the fed extension is good for PA, and you don't have to do anything. Just check the extension box on the PA-40 when you do eventually file it.
