Efiling last day - state not piggybacked

Didn't think of this til now, but... If I wait for the federal to accept ( and then maybe rejected), that could make my state efile late. Is there a waiver for this, or must I go ahead and efile the state at the same time and hope there's no problem?

Efile the state at the same time. this close to the deadline, I always file extensions, just in case.
