I was looking for an inexpensive bookkeeping program the other day. In Staples I noticed that Quicken now has a business program. Has anyone used this program?
I have just a few bookkeeping clients and have been using Taxslayer's bookkeeping program. But it still has very limited capacities. I got an error message Monday night and lost all that I had entered for one client and it deleted several other accounts. Fortunately, I back up every time I do anything in the program.
Quick Books is too expensive for me right now. My son-in-law is expanding his side business from just auto performance accessories to include a detailing service. I want to be able to distinguish between the income and expenses from the two departments and give him information to help in expansion. If this goes as well as he expects, my daughter will not have to go back to work after she has their second baby in October. If it goes really well, he may be able to quit his "day" job and work for himself in a job he loves doing.
Thanks for your imput.
