TP's AGI to high for Ed credits, other options?

    I have had several of these, the Parents return AGI is too high to claim, and yet the dependent's return has too little income for any tax liability

    So no benefit on the Ed Credits, doesn't seem to matter which one it is.

      The key word being "seldom". If this is one of those seldom situations it would not seem foolish at all.
