    Negative box 2 other periodic interest on 1099OID

    I read the other recent post on negative OID interest, but don't get if or how it applies to the negative interest in box 2 "other periodic interest" on the 1099OID. It is only -$6 so we're not talking about a big deal here. I would just like to understand it. Can anyone explain it? Maybe with single syllable words considering the state of my brain today &

    Oh, it's a REMIC, if that makes any difference.
