Electing to defer IRA to ROTH Conversion

What needs to be done to defer the income related to an IRA to ROTH distribution? What Form needs to be filed? My client received several 1099Rs showing the distributions but I think we would like to defer the income until 2011 and 2012.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Form 8606, Part II. It automatically does the math to defer unless you elect to pay on the 2010 return.

      Thanks

Thanks for your help. For some reason I thought they would have a new Form for the conversion deferral.

I thought so too. I only found out a couple of days ago when I had to prepare one - spent a good hour trying to figure it out. Glad I could save you the same aggravation.
