A cat is not good for a home based business

A cat is not good for a home based business,
It jumps up on your desk demanding your attention,
It messes up your papers as it plops itself down,
It distracts you from concentrating on the task at hand,
It gives you a reason to stop working while it settles in,
Perhaps it’s just trying to lower your stress level,
You start to think about the more important things in life,
A cat might be just what you need for a home based business.

    Cleaner Salesmen

Cleaner salesmen should not solicit my business on April 5.
They REALLY should not spray their crap on my carpet.
My lungs are stinging now, and I wish I had a cat
    To claw his eyes out.

Or to pee on my carpet
Because I think it might smell better than this.

P.S. Nice sentiment, Bees. Your cat is lucky to have you.

If you loan someone $20 and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I think a sweet purring cat would do me good right about now. That would be so soothing.

          I like your poem, Bees

              Cat Stressed Out

Oh wow... I am having cat problems.

I've had my cat for 9 years. I take him back and forth between my home and the office. Never had a problem with him until this year. I put in a new gas heater so seating was moved around. Now he is laying on my desk all the time. Not really a problem but strange behavior for him.

Well I have had more people wait until the last minute to come in so the past couple of weeks has been busy. Phone ringing and people coming in all the time.

Guess what happened yesterday.... client sat in my cat's old chair he use to lay in. After client left my cat sprayed. He has never.... never done this. He sprayed a bag full of receipts from a client, sprayed a table, and then sprayed my desk. Just a big spot on my desk when I came back from eating last night.

The only thing I can think of is that he is getting upset by everything going on at the office. I usually have a hard time getting him to go home... getting him in his carrier.... boy last night he ran into the thing he wanted to go home.

Well I left him at home today to give him a break. Well he has been fine. No spraying. He did not spray last night when I got him home.

My cat is as stressed out as me. Going to take him to the vet after the tax season(if it can wait) to make sure it isn't something else.

It was kinda like he said "you sat in my chair.... well watch this".

I think your older Kitty smelled another Kitty's scent from your client who sat in the chair. Your Kitty wanted to make sure the other Kitty knew whose territory he/she was invading.

Older cats can get psychotic sometimes and are more likely to spray when threatened by the scent of a stranger.

I might bring my cat to the office. She could do all those 6251 recalculations for me.
In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.

Well boy he smelled something. I will need to ask them if they have cats or dogs. My cat is "fixed" also... did not think they could still do that until I read about it on the internet. Just saw him when eating... very happy kitty. Will have to see how he reacts when I bring him back here.

Well you are probably going to have to go to the Pet Store and get something to spray around , before you bring him back to the office.

Had a female cat, years ago that we could never break of it - actually she "peed" and when upset, always "P" on our bed. That was fun! NOT
My male cat has been behaving himself - as well as my "timid" female cat. But I try never to introduce too much to them.

Although my male cat has "more than caressed several client envelopes" - just hasn't sprayed or peed.

                      Good Luck!

We had a female cat when my girls were younger. She was part persian and part angora,,very long hair cat.
She was very temperamental. She changed her place to lay about every week or two. But when it was her spot you better stay out of it.
One night my daughter had some friends over. One of the guys sat in a chair and was talking. After a while, he asked why the cat was sitting there on the floor staring at him. I told him he was sitting in her chair. He didn't believe me. I told him to get up and see what happened. He got up. The cat got in the chair and curled up. He couldn't believe a cat chased him out of the chair. He didn't try to get it back either.

She has been dead about 10 years and we still miss her. Although I am really glad not to have pets right now.

Mr. Toody once sprayed the back of my head at 2AM when he was in the mood for love and I was unresponsive. Little furry chauvinist.
