    Do all states defer the tax on a conversion to a ROTH, especially NY?

    South Carolina does NOT allow the deferral of income but it appears that North Carolina
    Does allow it.

      WI doesn't.... it usually takes YEARS to catch up with the federal laws!! Now, finally in 2011, they're acknowledging HSA's!!!!

        Wisconsin has accepted Federal policy of IRA Roth conversions and the $100,000 modified AGI limit is eliminated. However, I don't believe 401/403 plan conversions are acknowledged.
