    Dealing with Pennsylvania

Harrasses clients with errant letters. Does not respond to correspondence written to the source of such letters. Loses POAs. If you have a POA, they can't find anyone available to talk to you. Will not answer the phone unless you call the special line for delinquent taxpayers. That special line can't help you either but they will be glad to give you the phone number of the line that doesn't answer.

Anyone know a way to deal effectively with these people?

Geez, and I thought Georgia was bad...

    Suggestion

I do not have experience with Pennsylvania...

But it sounds like you have a client with "tax concerns not resolved through normal administrative procedures."

    Hmmm?

    Worth a try.

      Typical

      Thanks Burton.

But this is typical. From the website, there is no way to contact the advocates' office. In fact, there is a FAQ section that tells you not to contact the office by phone.

      What a state.

        Fax

And, if you have a credit for taxes paid to another jurisdiction, you have to fax them the other state's return within three days (?) of e-filing PA -- but, their fax is always busy! Yeah, you can mail it, but paper/toner/postage, time to address the envelope, drive to PO, wait in line to have it weighed, kinda defeats the ease of e-filing, doesn't it?!

And at night, when I finally have a minute to send faxes...
