    FTHC again... Sorry

About to scream over this one.... can't find a scenario to match the situation.

Spouse lost a home to foreclosure within the three year limit, but before marriage.

Taxpayer has never owned a home.

They purchased a home in Feb, 2010 shortly after marriage.

Does Taxpayer qualify for FTHC? If so, all or 50%?

    Thanks!!!!

    No

with out time to find the exact example, spouse eliminates taxpayer from eligibility. She was owner within three year look back period.
    My thoughts anyways.

The spouse who owned the home in the past 3 years disqualifies the spouse who did not own a home from the First Time Home Buyers Credit.
