I checked the IRS website and, yes, I can e-file this form (Daughter is filing for her mother). I do not get an error message from my tax software either.
What confuses me is that normally the line for ERO name plus PIN is on form 8879, but it is blank in this case. Still OK to have signed by daughter as PR and just handwrite my name and PIN?
