Is there any place on the 1099 to show that Traditional IRA was rolled over to Roth and not taxable this year. Any distribution codes.... or just take taxpayers word???

8606
If they rolled it over and it qualifies to be taxed over the next two years, it goes on the 8606. Mine landed on page 2, and Taxwise allowed me to enter it on the 1099R that fed into the 8606 for further data entry.
The distribution code was 2 on my 1099R."I am proud to pay taxes in the United States. The only thing is I could be just as proud for half the money." Arthur Godfrey

taxmom34-Was your question answered? If within the same year --2010--A non-deductible
contribution was made in Jan. 2010 and two months later converted to a ROTH, even though a 1099-R was cut for the distribution, NO tax is wanted to be paid in 2010 or split between 2011 and 2012. Can this be permitted and done somehow?.
