Could not agree with more....
Several new clients this year which are required to bring their 2009 tax return. I am charging $150 for which their tax preparer charged $275 in 2009 using the same number (and form numbers) of forms I used in 2010. I make notes to inch up the fee if all remains the same.
I would like to get to the point where I charge a min $200 for anyone with a 1040 long form (Sch A).

If you called a plumber afterhours you would pay right? I decided last night that starting on Monday my fees are going up for the last 30 days. If you wait to buy your airline tickets until the last minute you pay more so why is taxes any different?
It seems like sometimes we at least I do underprice myself and that has to change. I am still more affordable than the big chains and the people get a better service than they would there so it is time to get paid what I am worth.

Obviously during tax season. I have been open most Saturdays and Sundays (afternoons) since Feb 1.
Are we entitled to recieve overtime on Saturdays and double time on Sundays : )Tags: None
