    Nanny

I have a 22 year old client that is a Nanny and earned $5000 last year. The employer just paid cash and did not give client a W-2 or 1099-misc. i assume she did not file a Schedule H.
Do I just do a schedule C for my client? Should she confront her employer? It would probably result in her losing the job.

They probably think they are doing her a favor....paid her in cash, no income reported so she doesn't have to report it either.

I see no reason to advise her to do anything more than report her income properly. As long as she files her shedule C, that task has been accomplished. She doesnt need a 1099 in order to do that, and there's no need to confront the employer about anything.
