Yes, I agree Sandy, it has hurt. And after I was able to cajole so many people into bringing me their tax bills last year, when they normally wouldn't have needed them, and this year, bless their hearts, there are the tax bills in with their stuff. Hardly have the heart to tell people I don't need them this year.

I have a lot of clients that could increase their standard deduction by the real estate taxes. I just hated telling them that was one of the items not extended for this tax year.

You give these ordinary working or retired people one little morsel for a couple of years and then take it away. Just plain mean!!!!

Yeah, just had a call from a client who thought I made a mistake. STD only $13,600 this year and was $14,600 last year......
