Yes. For a child born in 2010, the child is considered to have lived with the parents for more than half the year if the child lived with the parents from the date of birth until the end of the year. Time in the hospital is counted as time lived with the parents. A hospital stay is a temporary absence.
For most tax software, you have to enter 7 months in this situation. If you read the software instructions carefully, it will tell to enter 7 months for a child born in 2010.
