Says qualifys for a Fed 30% tax credit for "energy efficient building product" though I see a lot of solar on form 5695 but none that say 'Solatube" OR "energy efficient building product" from which I read only increases the sunlight into their residence. Any thoughts anyone?

Energy Credits
What your client has is probably legit. Solatube is a brand name, like Lennox or Trane. You'll never find a specific brand name in any IRS form or publication.
But from looking at their website, it appears that some of their products qualify for energy credits. See Publication 17 (2010), page 249 (which is page 251 of the PDF).
The Residential energy efficient property credit is available for "qualified solar electric property."
On the Solatube website, they have a couple of certification documents that explicitly reference the "Federal 30% tax credit."
Of course, the manufacturer's certification doesn't prove it's qualified. But it sounds like a bona fide legal opinion from the manufacturer, which the taxpayer can rely on...
I think you do need to look at the model number, or something, to make sure that your client bought something that is actually identified in the certification.
