I wanted to share something new that I came across today for NC. It says for 2010 and 2011 there is a credit for small businesses (up to 1 mil. gross receipts) that pay state unemployment returns corporate and individual. Luckily, I've not done any returns affected by this yet!! Also, for the education credits, the NCDOR says they anticipate passing the legislation for a 4,000 deduction and TPs can take it now, BUT it's not actually passed yet and they could have to ammend if it's not, how would you like to make that phone call??

i've been filing w/o the $4000 deduction and am waiting to amend if the change goes through. I did not know about the credit for unemployment tax paid -- thanks for that one!
