Is there a limit on penalty off set for IRA distributions when tuition is paid with those distributions? T/P is under 59 1/2.

Pub 970- p. 58. The limit penalty free is the amount equal to what is termed AQEE- Adjusted Qualified Educ Exp- that is, the amount of educ expenses reduced by grant/scholarship and then reduced by other educ benefits as described on that page.
