    None?

I get plenty of the paper audits....but none of my clients have ever had a true examination or field audit.

Same here, but, Sandy, I love what you are saying! Knockin' on wood even as I post!

        Good question, Q-Guy

I've also wondered about those exact same questions too. I think it's been about 15 years since any of my guys got hit and I was thinkin' it was possible that your reasons were the reasons -- HOWEVER, now Sandy's got me runnin' scared thinkin' maybe even breathing a word about it may have put the Mojo jinx on me for gettin' too smug.

I'm now lookin' around the office for suitable knockin' wood, crossin' my fingers, and hope that my "pride goeth before an audit" talk does not cause some "bad karma" to go around and then come around.

I've only had one of my clients audited in a 'real' audit, but have had a bunch with CP notices. Since I do a lot of single-sex couples, the 1098s or 1099s for joint accounts are often under the wrong SS#. simple stuff. The client that got audited had been audited in the prior year on a return I did not prepare & had a big adjustment, so the first year I prepared their taxes they got hit up too. No change for that one.

Of course I do audits in my day job, so I do a LOT of 'em. Just not on my own clients. I've gotten clients through audits though; like erchess, I don't mind the work.
