    Foreign Income Exclusion

Client's spouse worked for the American Univeristy in Cairo. The program she worked in was funded by the US Government but she was paid by the University. I know that US government employees can't exclude foreign income but I would assume this taxpayer can as she was not paid directly by US government. Anyone disagree?

Nope. She should be able to exclude if she meets the requirements. Just spent 10 days in Cairo in October. Verrrrryyyy interesting.
