Tax Season Has Begun

Today I had to fax a payroll tax form to a client - who's been a client for over 30 years and I have his phone/fax line number memorized in my mind because I call it often.

At the time I wanted to fax this thing, I was working on a depreciation schedule of a completely different client.

The number I was trying to fax to was XXX-1462

I didn't realize it until later that the number I was mistakenly calling was XXX-4562.

I had to dump a client today because I found out more info on a low income EIC return. I've been doing her for many years but told her I can't do it anymore. That was hard for me to do but she took it as if no problem. She will probably find another preparer and will keep her mouth shut this time.

I'm not going into detail but it exposed the improbability of her tax return.


So tax season is here and we all move on.
