    Does cancer insurance qualify for the self-employed health insurance deduction?

    I don't think so

    I believe the rules are the same as for deducting insurance on Sch A medical. Anyone got another opinion?

      If income replacement, then those don't qualify. Pub 535 p. 19

        If the policy pays for medical bills due to cancer, then yes, it is deductible on Sche A and/or SEHI. If it pays for income loss, then no.
