SCH M of 1040 has following question

(1) Line 10 (Sch M- 040) Did you receive economic recovery payment in 2010?

(2) It also Calculates Making Workpay Credit on line 11 of sch M (1040).

Client did receive work pay credit in 2009.

I think these two credits are different, right?

I think these two credits are different, right?

of 2009 was actually paid to a few individuals in 2010. To find out, go to this site:

And, the MWP and ERP are separate, BUT any amount of ERP received is applied against the MWP.

Did anyone get an economic recovery payment in 2010? I didn't think any were sent out.

I did have a client that received ss disability that went back to 2009. He got the $250 or he said actually the VA hospital got it. But that had to be included on his return.

reports that "a few ERPs went out in 2010 as opposed to 2009 because of a glitch in the system". Take this with as big a grain of salt as you desire.

It seems to me that some folks must have, otherwise why is there a place on the IRS website to check?

No ERP's were sent out automatically. But there may have been some instances where persons who should have gotten it in 2009 and did not for some reason, including their failure to file. They might have gotten it later, in 2010.

The donut hole payments aren't ERP.
