    Mortgage insurance for rental

    Is there a reason that mortgage insurance would not be deductible for rental property?

      Same reasons the interest might not be deductible.

          the property and mortgage insurance were probably purchased prior to the law that allows the deduction.
          Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.
