message is 20 days old and doesn't seem to be set in stone, but that second paragraph sounds fairly definite (for IRS).

Just checked with ATX and nothin' new on IRS allowin' Schedule As to be filed today as they promised (see previous link).

Oh well, what the hey -- did I really expect it would be up and runnin' today? About "rumors" one of my old Depression-era clients used to say "Around here you can hear ever'thang 'cept meat fryin'."

IRS is accepting returns filed AFTER 11 AM today it was reported. I do not know if that
is eastern standard time or what.

According to Drake Software, the 11am is local time.

Gave ATX a call and theirs will be up after the 11 A.M. (Eastern) drain. I take back ever' bad thing I ever said about 'em.

I use Taxact.

According to Drake Software, the 11am is local time.

Funny things about that. I am in Alabama, where official CST time was 10:47 when i transmitted, since our LOCAL time is est. So it was 11:47 then. Seems to me Drake software would have checked my transmittal time according to official local time.
But I won't argue the fact.

I use Tax Works, and they were holding the returns, and they were sent to IRS about an hour ago I think. Anyway they are on their way.
