    Accessing the board

I am accustomed to accessing the board by clicking on the icon for any year's web cd and then clicking on Message Board. That has stopped working. (Since I got the web portal this year I did not get the web cd.) I got here this trip by Googling Tax Materials Incorporated and then selecting the link to the web board.

Is the failure of my usual way of getting here temporary or permanent?

If it is permanent I know how to save the board as a browser favorite but I have so many entries in the relevant folder there and so many folders there that this would be my last resort. Does anyone know how I could create in Windows Seven Ultimate a desktop icon for the board?

If you still have the 2009 WebCD loaded on your computer, the message board link still works. Otherwise, you will have to put the message board in your favorites as the web and cd versions this year do not contain links to the message board.

I save it as one of my home pages. (I'm using Internet Explorer & can have up to 8 home pages.)

        Firefox

I finally figured out what was happening. The link was taking me to IE. Well I try to minimize my use of IE for a lot of reasons including fear that as the most popular browser it is also the most attacked by malware. I also just absolutely despise Microsoft and will go through a lot to avoid using one of their products. For example I have FF, Google Chrome and Apple Safari on my laptop and I use Open Office instead of MS Office.

Anyway my computer sometimes mysteriously starts opening links in IE and then mysteriously reverts to FF which is set as the default browser and is supposed to make sure it is every time it gets open. Can anyone tell me a solution to this small but irritating problem?
