Both These Appliances Are "energy Star" Rated But I'm Not Sure They Are Eligible For The Energy Credit? Are They?

I think it was only the states that had programs to reimburse for upgrading to more energy efficient appliances. Do you see a category for household appliances on the form for the credit?

Seems "energy star" rated appliances were eligible for rebates from the Utility Companies, not through the Federal Income Tax Returns. Some states might have a tax credit.

Google the taxpayer's utility company, and see what plans they have in place for any rebates.
