Daughters work expense but files return

I have a client that claims her 18 yr old daug. The daug is a full time student and works part time. She files a return for refund only and does not claim herself. Mom claims daughter and the daughter had 565 medical training expenses on her job . I cannot find anything to indicate I can take a deduc on moms . Any comments.

You can take medical expenses paid for a dependent and you get education credits for dependent education costs. So it would seem to me that you could take those costs on the Schedule A, subject to 2%, if the mother can itemize.

      Daughter

Sounds like job-related expenses for daughter on Form 2106 &/or Schedule A Misc 2% unless reimbursed by her employer. Maybe not even that if the training was required to get into her profession (as opposed to retaining/improving her skills in her current profession).

Don't see it as a deduction for the mother. If mother bought shovels for daughter's landscaping business, mother could not deduct.
