Client was planning on starting a business this year. They applied for and received an EIN, intending to file as an S-Corp. Now they have decided to go on to college in the fall and not start the business. How do they inform the IRS they do not intend to use the EIN since there will not be a business?

In Florida, if you do not pay the corp fees you are automatically "cancelled"
You can file the return with zero income and expenses. The boxes "Initial return" and "final return" should checked.Everybody should pay his income tax with a smile. I tried it, but they wanted cash
