    Figuring out what Kind of depr

    How would a find out what kind of depreciation an old preparer has been using? Any hints where I could find this out.

    A copy of the depreciation schedule

      Ask the client for the previous year's return. There may be a depreciation schedule there. If not, have the client request the schedule from the prior preparer.
