    PTIN double payment

    When my paper application was not acted on after 8 weeks I filed on line. As luck would have it the IRS cashed my check and billed my credit card. I called 1-877-613-7846 and the IRS employee fixed this by crediting my credit card.

      I called the same number and asked them to apply your overpayment to my fee. They said they would be happy to do that...
