    Schedule M and ERP

    My software asks did the taxpayer receive an Economic Recovery payment in 2010. weren't these a one shot deal given out by SS in early 2009? If so, why would anyone get one in 2010?

      Some people who should have gotten one in 2009 did not. They may have gotten one in 2010. IMHO, if they got one in 2009 I don't even check. No one should have gotten one in both years.
