    MN - allow debt cancellation exclusion?

    Does Minnesota allow for exclusion of cancellation of debt income for the solvency exclusion or for qualified principal residence indebtedness?

    They do

    As of now, clients do not have to add those items back to their MN return.

    On a side note -- A bill was introduced in the MN House that would change the rent credit percentage back down to 15% again for 2010 instead of the 19% that is now shown on the CRP forms. What a mess if that passes.
