Wages exempt from SS for whole year?

I'm referring to the exemption from employer SS for hiring someone who hadn't worked for the previous 60 days (or whatever the number was). Did that exemption apply to all wages for that employee for all of 2010, assuming they were eligible in the first place? The employees in question were eligible and hired in the 3rd quarter. I need to confirm that their wages were still exempt in the 4th quarter.

The line is on the 941 for the 4th qtr, so it seems like it might be safe to "assume".

I've looked at the instructions for the 941, but there is nothing specific. And I can't remember which stimulus act this was instituted under to look it up that way. Anyone know for sure?

    Thanks
    Bob

Yes, once eligible, wages are qualified through rest of the year.

      Until Dec 31, 2010

That tax exemption was good for all qualified employees until December 31, 2010. and keep track of all of them for one year to see if employer qualifies for tax credit on 2011 tax return!!
