    Yeah, I got it too....just received another one apologizing for sending out their test email....pretty funny. And this is who administers the tax code for us.

      Gaffes not restricted to government

      When I worked for a large income tax prep service years ago a bunch of test returns with valid social security numbers got transmitted to the IRS. We had been told to change only the last digits of our own SSNs to reflect who did the return and which problem number the taxpayer was. For example anyone's first problem would have in the ssn field xxx-xx-xx01 where the x's correspond to the preparer's ssn. After that year problems were given invalid ssns so that in case one got efiled it would be rejected. So the private sector can mess up as badly as the public sector.
