    Ringing in the New Year

    From today's San Francisco Chronicle:

    "Romania has changed its labor laws to officially recognize witchcraft as a profession. The move, which went into effect Saturday, is part of the government's drive to crack down on widespread tax evasion."

      Why does that seem OK, for Romania? Or have I seen too many horror movies?

          In this country, let's officially recognize politics as witchcraft, and levy a special tax on it. We could pay off the national debt AND reduce every productive citizen's tax burden by 50%.

              It would be probably good to first define what witchcraft is and what exactly is done by the people who perform it.
