    Great. You should get this letter automatically if this was the manager's approval. Otherwise a manager should contact you. Should have letter within 4 weeks. IRS also automatically files the lien, which is very bad on the credit report and can only be appealed if the lien causes hardship for your client.

        Did not get letter

        It has been more than six weeks and we did not get a letter. How can we get the IRS to give us a letter? I am thinking maybe PPL but I thought I would seek other opinions here.

            I had to call several times to finally get to a manager and be ensured that they send the letter. Good luck.
