Woking on an over the road trucker's un filed retruns for 05, 06, 07. What were the meal & incidental expense for those years? I see the the alloawable expense % by year on page 8-2.

All i find on the IRS site is a link to GAO which shows the historical per diems by city. What i'm trying to find are the historical "Special Standard Meal Allowance Rates for Transportation Workers". So far nothing...at IRS or DOT. Any body got any print editions for 07, 06, and 05 that shows these amounts?
I used to keep prior year print editions, but with internet search capabilities I stopped doing that a couple of years ago....just goes to show ya....JohnComment

According to the front of the 2009 Tax Book, standard deduction for meals for transportation workers:
2005 $41.00/day
2006 $52.00/day
2007 $52.00/day
2008 $52.00/day
2009 $52.00/day
2010 $59.00/day
