    1099 e-file

Since the IRS still wants to get the 1099's on the red forms I consider e-filing of 1099's. So far I have used QB for my 1099's but they do not offer e-file. What are you all using?

I don't have that many 1099s that I file for my clients so I use an online service: http://www.efileforbusiness.com

It's really easy and straightforward. Costs $3.50 per 1099 and they mail copies to the recipient and do efile. You have PDF copies as well. If you do more than 50 the price drops.

      1099 e-filing

Those of us who use Drake software can e-file W-2s and 1099s which is included in the software package. You have to register with the IRS for e-filing 1099s and be very careful to write down all of the codes, passwords, etc. the IRS has you use when you e-file.

ATX Max allows for the e-filing of 1099's and w2's.
