    electronic signature pad

The latest quick alerts e-mail that I received says that IRS has a policy change that for the use of electronic signature pad for forms 8879 and 8878. Anyone using the pad now? How do I get one and is it a must for e-filing signatures? Any comments.

Isn't this reference only for those using "Scan & Fill" - I don't believe there is any change in regards to the usually e-filing as we've done in the past. Am I correct?

I read that and I was actually looking into a signature pad right before that alert came out. It's not a "must have"; we can continue using the same process/procedure. It's just for those that want to use the electronic sig pad. I read some recommendations on the Topaz System pads that are really good - check 'em out:

The one that was highly recommended is the SigGem model, however, browse the other options for a more economical one.
